Extras, design changes and add-ons

  • Absolutely. When we create your new website, we also create up to seven key pages for you and populate them with your words and images.

When your site is handed over to you, it will be fully installed, with the key pages populated with your content and styled with your branding – ready for you to launch!

  • The key pages include:

    • Home

    • About

    • Services

    • Contact

    • 404

    • Legal (1 - 3 pages for Terms & Conditions, Disclaimer and Privacy Policy)

  • You have personal email support from Greg for one month after you site is handed over.

We also reach out to you after 3 months to check on how you are going.

We have Squarespace support services where you can hire Greg for a day on up to do any updates or tweaks or add-ons to your website.

  • Our Web Design services include ‘on page’ SEO, including page titles and meta descriptions for each page .

And all of our designs follow SEO best practices in regards to heading use and page optimisation.

If we’re migrating your site from another platform (e.g. Wordpress), we also setup URL redirects to protect existing SEO rankings as much as possible and prevent broken links, too.

SEO is a combination of good design (that’s our job) and well-written copy (that’s your job) plus ongoing SEO marketing, including backlinks.

  • Absolutely!

We know how important it is to have cohesive branding across all your platforms to build trust and recognition with your audience.

That’s why we style your chosen website with your unique business branding.

To get the best result for your website, we ask that you provide your branding guide outlining your colour palette, typography and icons.

If you have none of that, or you’re just wishing to update your branding, we can still help.

  • At a minimum, you do need to have a colour palette, font styles defined and a couple of logos before building a website – the good news, we can help you with this!

  • Yes, absolutely. It is totally possible to move around page layouts and add sections to pages easily (just like you would do with any normal Squarespace website).

Just keep in mind that, due to the swift timeline of a two-week website, when we are building your website, we don’t make any page layout changes or customisations.

However, you can make tweaks and adjustments easily to the layouts yourself after the site is handed over â€“ and you'll receive videos on exactly how to do this. Or you can hire Greg to add customisations and tweaks for you.

  • Squarespace is intuitive to use and our the websites we build using the Squarekicker design templates makes it extremely easy for you to update and create new pages so your website can grow with you as your business grows.

Plus, you’ll have access to video training which steps you through exactly how to manage and update your site (we literally walk you through your site and show you exactly how to change things).

  • All Web Design services use Squarespace 7.1 only which is far evolved from 7.0.

If you currently have a 7.0 site, book a chat with Greg, and we can discuss your migration options.

  • All our designs require the Business Squarespace plan (see pricing for Squarespace here).

You’ll also need to purchase your domain name (website URL) and possibly an email account.

In my opinion if you don’t have a Domain Name or associated email account, then doing acquiring these through Squarespace simplifies support and is what I did myself when setting up 35WebDesigns in 2020.

And if none of this makes sense, don’t worry, book a chat with Greg and we can talk through your specific requirements and we can guide you from there.

  • Sure can. Many of our clients (including me) have opted to move from WordPress to Squarespace.

Each migration will be different and is best discussed in a call.

  • We can definitely add extra pages – book a chat with Greg and we can provide a quote.

  • You sure can.

In fact Squarespace has become many capabilities that a small business might need today.

Head on over to Squarespace’s own site to explore in depth.

I do generally advise, however, a phased approach to developing your new website. Commence with the Core functionality and over a period of months add Calendars, Shops, Courses and other functionality.

  • We recommend that you allow at least four weeks before your website build commences to allow enough time to complete your website starter kit and prepare all your content.

We only do one Web Design project per month and this tends to book up 1-2 months in advance. However, we can sometimes accommodate rush projects, if you’re working towards a very definite timeline.

Reach out as soon as you can to get the process started.
