• Yes! If your website is based on V7.1 we can update/improve the functionality, brand design, and optimise it for SEO

• If your website is based on the older V7.0 we need to migrate the website first, before tackling the updates and improvements

• Absolutely! Many websites get more than 50% of their traffic from mobile phone users and Squarespace sites look beautiful on mobile phones. Be aware that mobile layouts require adjustments and fine-tuning to look great.

• Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is all about getting traffic to your website, principally from Google.

• In our standard website build, after establishing what keywords your customers will use search for you, we ensure the ‘meta’ data on each page is well established, images are suitably named, and a title hierarchy is established.

• Finally, before going live we ensure your website is established with Google using Google Search Console.

• Additional SEO services (at additional cost) that look more deeply at keyword searches and content creation, competitive analysis resulting in the construction of an SEO Strategy is available, and definitely recommended.

• Squarespace offers an excellent e-commerce capability that can handle:

  • As many as 10,000 products

  • Good online store management (products, inventory, pricing, discounts, categories, shipping, taxes, etc).

  • Payment options including Stripe, Paypal, credit cards, debit cards, and Apple Pay

• An amount of analysis and design will be needed (at additional cost) to determine if Squarespace e-commerce is suitable for your business, and to estimate the cost of implementation.

• Having said all the above, you may have, or prefer to have, a Shopify store, which has even greater capabilities.

A simple rule of thumb is as follows:

  • You have a small to medium product range. (Up to 500 products)

  • You need advanced inventory, shipping, or integrations.

  • You want access to a large ecosystem of e-commerce apps.
